Twenty centimeters across is very little room in which to run three colors, and the leather is what makes it legible. Epsom holds a hard edge where panels meet: its pressed grain will not slump or blur at a seam the way a softer calfskin does, so each block of color ends exactly where the stitching says it ends.

The arrangement is quiet rather than loud. Green carries the body, the front sangles cross it in a pale contrast, and the handle and shoulder strap take the étoupe, which is the tone doing the real work: it keeps the two lighter colors from competing. Sellier construction, stitched on the outside, draws a visible outline around the whole scheme.

Palladium suits it. Warmer metal would push the green toward yellow and fight the étoupe, where the cooler finish lets all three tones sit exactly where they were placed.

Collector's Insight: Hermès withdrew tri-color from Special Order, and the tri-color Kellys of recent seasons arrive as seasonal releases carrying no horseshoe stamp. The configuration cannot be commissioned, only found, which is why three-color minis appear far less often than single-color examples.

Resale Insight: Demand for the 20 cm format has outpaced supply since the 2017 reissue, and a multi-color arrangement narrows the comparable set further: a buyer set on this exact combination has very little to weigh it against.
