Every piece is graded against one standard, applied consistently across the entire collection. Each tier carries specific criteria, so the grade you read is the grade you receive.
1 – Pristine (Store Fresh)
No signs of wear or use. Hardware gleams at its original finish, leather holds its factory luster, and the interior is untouched — often with protective films still intact.
Key indicators: flawless leather, pristine hardware, perfect shape retention, untouched interior.
What to expect: boutique-fresh in every detail.
2 – Excellent
Nearly imperceptible signs of careful use. May show faint handling marks or hairline scratches on hardware while maintaining exceptional overall condition.
Key indicators: light handling marks, minor hardware scratches, excellent shape.
What to expect: premium condition with careful previous ownership.
3 – Very Good
Light wear consistent with careful, regular use. Minor corner softening or light surface marks, with structural integrity and appeal retained.
Key indicators: light corner wear, faint surface marks, sound structure.
What to expect: an honestly worn piece that still presents beautifully.
4 – Good
Clear signs of regular use while remaining fully functional. Noticeable wear at stress points and some patina development, but structurally sound throughout.
Key indicators: visible corner and stress-point wear, patina, intact structure.
What to expect: a characterful piece with life ahead of it.
5 – Vintage / Well-Loved
Significant wear indicating extensive use. May show scuffs, staining, or areas of structural compromise. Graded, priced, and disclosed accordingly.
Key indicators: pronounced wear, possible staining or structural softening.
