Ostrich is graded on the density and regularity of its quill follicles, and at 20 cm there is almost no panel to hide an irregular row. The follicles have to run even across faces a fraction the size of those on a Kelly 28, which is why exotic Mini Kellys are cut from a narrower selection of skin than the larger formats.
Fuchsia is where that texture does its work. The follicle indentations hold pigment slightly deeper than the surrounding skin, so the color reads with depth rather than as a flat saturated field — the surface shifts as the bag moves. Palladium keeps the hardware cool against a warm pink where gold would push it toward coral.
Sellier construction, interior lined in matching Chèvre Mysore with one zip pocket and two slip pockets.

Collector's Insight: The Mini Kelly II receives the least exotic allocation of any Kelly format, and ostrich within that program is limited further by follicle-quality selection at the cutting stage. Fuchsia appears intermittently across seasons and far more often on Epsom or Togo than on ostrich, so the combination surfaces rarely.
Resale Insight: Exotic Mini Kellys trade at multiples of their leather equivalents, with valuation anchored to size demand and material scarcity rather than to color trend. Ostrich holds color better than crocodile over long holds, which matters on a saturated shade. Follicle compression cannot be corrected, so pristine examples hold a disproportionate share of demand.
