The story behind the Shoulder Birkin
Designed by Jean Paul Gaultier during his years directing Hermès women's ready-to-wear, from 2003 to 2010. The original dates to 2004, made in 40 and 42 cm until 2013, with a return in 2024 in 29 and 39 cm.

The Gold toile is embroidered with roses in Rose Pop and Noir thread, framed in Gold Evercolor, a pressed calfskin with a tight, even grain. Palladium hardware keeps the warm tan and bright pink crisp.

Canvas construction answers the main criticism of the leather Shoulder Birkins, their weight, and embroidered toile versions are made in smaller numbers than plain canvas.
