Picnic Fish Basket in Vert Vertigo Swift and Osier wicker with Palladium hardware. One of the more unusual objects in the Hermès Picnic program: a fish-shaped basket constructed from hand-woven Osier (willow) wicker with Swift leather trim, handle, and closure hardware. The silhouette is literal. It reads as a fish. The wicker body tapers from a wide midsection to a pointed tail, with the opening at the head end secured by a Swift leather flap and Palladium toggle clasp. The entire form is rigid, holding its shape permanently without contents.
Vert Vertigo is a bright, saturated green with more vibrancy than Vert Jade and less depth than Vert Émeraude. On Swift it reads clean and even, providing a sharp color contrast against the natural blonde wicker. The Swift leather covers the handle, flap, base reinforcement, and trim edging that frames the wicker panels. Palladium hardware cools the composition. Interior is leather-lined.
