The Sac Bijou translates the Chaîne d'Ancre motif, Hermès' anchor-chain link pattern introduced by Robert Dumas in 1938, into a three-dimensional sterling silver vessel. The body is constructed from interlocking silver links fused into a lattice structure that reads as organic despite being solid metal. A concealed hinged clasp integrated into the link pattern opens the interior cavity, sized for small essentials.
A sterling silver chain strap allows crossbody or wrist-wound wear. The piece is substantial in weight, consistent with solid Ag 925 construction rather than plated or hollow forms. Sterling silver does not degrade the way organic materials do, though it will develop patina over time that can be polished back to its original mirror finish.
