Hermès Kelly Wallet Bleu Marine Shiny Porosus Crocodile 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware

Sale price$49,500.00 USD

Hermès Kelly Wallet Bleu Marine Shiny Porosus Crocodile 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware Retail is over 80,000

Bleu Marine on Shiny Porosus reads as deep saturated navy at distance and reveals blue undertones in direct light. Porosus (Crocodylus porosus) is the saltwater crocodile at the top of Hermès' exotic hierarchy, selected for its tighter and more uniform scale pattern than the larger-scale Niloticus. The Shiny (lisse) finish is achieved through extended hand-polishing of the crocodile surface to its highest possible gloss, producing a near-lacquer reading that holds light dramatically against the dark color and emphasizes the natural symmetry of the scale rows down the body panel.

The Kelly Wallet retains the Kelly's sangle architecture and turn-lock closure in a flat, elongated wallet format. The closure is set with pavé diamonds across the turn-lock plate and the rectangular sangle plate, positioning the piece within Hermès' Joaillerie program rather than standard exotic production. Pavé diamond hardware is executed by Hermès' in-house jewelry atelier, separate from standard hardware production, and pieces in this configuration are allocated through Petit H and boutique Joaillerie channels rather than standard SO routes. The detachable chain strap converts the wallet to a worn evening clutch format. Interior lined in matching Bleu Marine Chèvre Mysore with card slots, center zip pocket, and bill compartments.

Collector's Insight:
The pavé diamond Kelly closure positions this piece within Hermès' Joaillerie program, the same atelier responsible for the diamond Birkin and diamond Kelly handbag program at the top of Hermès' production hierarchy. The diamond setting is executed by Hermès' in-house jewelry atelier rather than the standard hardware workshop, with each stone hand-set into plates produced specifically for the piece. Allocation runs through Petit H and boutique Joaillerie channels and bypasses standard SO routes. Pavé diamond exotic SLGs from this production tier appear in the secondary market with significantly less frequency than standard exotic configurations.

Resale Insight:
Diamond exotic SLGs trade as a separate asset class from standard exotic production, with valuation anchored in the diamond hardware component and the Joaillerie allocation scarcity rather than in seasonal color or material trend. Secondary market availability is narrower than standard Porosus production by an order of magnitude. Pristine condition with hardware diamonds intact commands the strongest positioning; loose or chipped stones materially affect valuation and are not field-restorable.
