A bicolor Kelly Pochette from Jean-Paul Gaultier's tenure at Hermès;the designer who introduced this format on his first runway for the house in 2004. This example dates to that inaugural year. Black Doblis body with Violet sangles, handle, gussets, and interior. The purple appears at every interaction point: where you grip, where you open, what you see inside.
Veau Doblis is Hermès's calf suede;a napped finish that absorbs light rather than reflecting it. The matte surface reads as softer and more textured than smooth leather. Suede in bicolor configuration is uncommon; most two-tone production appears in standard leathers. Gold hardware warms both colors, bridging the cool black and saturated violet. The suede shows some characteristic surface marks consistent with the material and age.
