Hermès Kelly Longue Rose Dragée Evergrain Palladium Hardware

The Kelly Longue is a discontinued clutch format that preceded the Kelly Cut. It carries the Kelly's flap-and-tournante closure in an elongated rectangular proportion, but with more depth and structure than the flatter Cut that replaced it. No handle, no strap: this is a handheld evening piece.

Evergrain is a pressed calfskin with a fine crosshatch grain, similar to Epsom but with a slightly softer hand. Rose Dragée is a pale baby pink with subtle gray undertones, lighter and cooler than Rose Sakura. On Evergrain the color reads soft and powdery without the flat uniformity that Epsom can produce. Palladium hardware provides cool-toned contrast that suits the gray undertones in the pink.

Collector's Insight:
The Kelly Longue was discontinued and never reissued. It was replaced in the evening tier by the Kelly Cut, which has a flatter, wider proportion, and fewer survive on the secondary market than Kelly Cuts from the same era. Rose Dragée is a mid-2000s pink that predates the modern pink rotation, and Evergrain has been used sparingly in recent years. All three variables are closed.
