Over a decade has passed since Hermès unveiled a new Kelly clutch. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the luxury brand has crafted limited quantities of handheld versions of the iconic top-handle bag. The Fall 2019 Men's runway show marked the debut of the latest addition: the 25cm Kelly Depeches Pochette.
This fresh design builds upon the heritage of the classic Sac a Depeches briefcase, which had previously been adapted with Kelly styling and was available in sizes no smaller than 31cm. The earlier version, simply known as the Kelly Depeches, featured distinct hardware that deviated from the classic Kelly's design.
Accompanying this captivating new clutch, Hermès now offers an updated Kelly Depeches briefcase sporting the same clipped-corner style and full-sized classic Kelly hardware. The design of this clutch is entirely novel and exhilarating. It features a round base, similar in width to a Kelly Pochette, but with enhanced sturdiness, making it perfectly suited for the palm of your hand. The clipped corners soften the overall aesthetic and pay homage to the classic Kelly hardware's distinct shape.
A removable, matching leather wrist strap adds versatility, while the smart slip pocket at the front enhances its functionality. Crafted in black Epsom leather, this new addition to the Hermès family is already a timeless classic.
