The story behind the Kelly Cut

Introduced in 2008 as the successor to the Kelly Longue, which was discontinued that year. The clutch expression of the Kelly: the same turn-lock closure and signature flap in a flat, elongated east-west format.

Swift suits the format: its smooth, pliable surface lies flat without buckling across the long panel.

Gris Asphalte is a medium gray with tan undertones, and on Swift it reads soft and nuanced, shifting between gray and taupe with the light. Gold hardware warms it.

The Kelly Cut is made in smaller numbers than the structured Kellys, and Gris Asphalte, a warm gray, ran for a limited number of seasons.
