The Kelly rendered in woven gold. Designed by Pierre Hardy for Hermès Haute Bijouterie, the body of the miniature bag is constructed in cotte de mailles, chain mail woven from 18K white gold wire, a mesh that drapes and moves like fabric rather than holding rigid form.
The structural elements, the flap, top handle, and sangles, are solid 18K white gold set with 126 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.17 carats. The turn-lock closure functions and opens to a miniature interior. Suspended from an adjustable chain, the piece wears as a sautoir or choker, or detaches as a bag charm.
