Hermès Kelly 32 Sellier Denim & Vache Naturelle Leather Gold Hardware - 1997

Hermès has a long history of producing their famous bags with canvas bodies to make them lighter and more casual. These limited editions are varied, and highly sought after by collectors, especially if they've managed to stay in excellent condition, as this has. This Kelly 32 uses light Vache Naturelle leather throughout the trim, which evokes the brand's equestrian heritage. The main feature of this bag is the very unusual blue jean Denim body, which instantly makes the bag casual and effortless, yet still as sophisticated as any Sellier Kelly could be.

Sellier – “boxy, structured, rigid” - The Kelly Sellier has visible topstitching along the side seams and no exterior piping like the Retourne. The corners and edges are “sharper” contributing to a more boxy look. Compared the retourne, the craftsmanship of the Sellier is a little more difficult and requires more steps. The seams are topstitched together and bees wax is applied to the edges, which protects the bag from damage. Due to this method of construction, the Sellier appears larger than a retourne in the same size. Out of the two styles, the Sellier is more limited.
