A vintage Kelly 32 Retourne transformed by the JaneFinds Custom Shop. Gold leaf applied over Rouge H Box calfskin, with the metallic surface intentionally distressed to reveal the burgundy leather beneath. The crackling creates an organic pattern where no two areas wear identically. The effect bridges jewelry and handbag, the gilded surface catching light while Rouge H warmth shows through at edges, creases, and stress points. Box leather provides the rigid foundation that holds gold leaf well, the smooth surface accepting the gilding evenly before intentional distressing reveals contrast. Gold hardware reads tonal against the metallic surface rather than contrasting.
