Gris Pâle is the palest grey in the modern Hermès palette, lighter than Gris Perle and cooler than Craie, a shade that reads nearly white in daylight while keeping just enough grey undertone to never go stark. Epsom's pressed crosshatch grain carries it precisely: the leather holds color evenly across its embossed surface and gives the Sellier construction the permanent crisp edges, external saddle stitching, and rigid geometry the format is built around. Gold hardware sets the single warm note against the cool ground.
The 25 has become the defining Kelly size of the current era, sized for essentials by day and small enough to carry into evening, worn by hand or on the shoulder strap. This example is a 2023 production in pristine condition with full set, the interior lined in Chèvre.

Sellier Kellys are produced in smaller numbers than Retourné, and Epsom is the leather the construction favors because the pressed grain never relaxes. Pale grey neutrals occupy a narrow lane in the allocation: they carry the versatility of Craie or Nata with a cooler cast that photographs closer to silver, and Gris Pâle appears in far fewer production cycles than the perennial greys. A B-stamp Sellier in this shade is a current bag in a colorway that may not return soon.

The Kelly 25 Sellier is the most requested configuration in the Kelly line on the secondary market, and pale neutrals consistently clear faster than saturated seasonals at this size.
