The Hermès Jige Elan Clutch is a rectangular clutch bearing the iconic “H” to secure the strap closure. Even with its simple design, the signature “H” at the front. This extremely supple, sophisticated leather is named after Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver's Travels, to highlight its resemblance to Gulliver calfskin, which is no longer featured in today's collections. First appeared in the collections in 2004.
Interior is lined in matching leather. Hermès craftsmanship is evident in the hand-stitched saddle stitch, a technique that uses two needles working in opposite directions through pre-punched holes. Each piece is completed by a single artisan.
