Hermès Ile de Shiki Bag Metallic Lambskin Gold, Bronze and Copper
An incredibly rare unique vintage Hermès Ile de Shiki bag from 1996 done in three shades of metallic Lambskin leather: Gold, Bronze and Copper. Metallic Hermès bags are incredibly rare and highly sought after. This bag has two handles which each have a small nick on the underside, and a zip closure with a cream Agneau Lambskin interior with one slip pocket. The process used to create the metallic finish is extremely time consuming and applies so much material to the leather it changes the texture. There are a few scratches and spots that are only visible at certain angles, the sheen of the metallic is incredible in the sunlight so these small issues are rarely noticeable.
The term "hardware" refers to the metallic parts of the bag, such as the buckle hardware, base studs, lock and keys and/or strap, which are plated with a colored finish (e.g. gold, silver, palladium). The terms refer to the tone or color of the hardware and not the actual material used. If hardware is composed of precious solid metals this will be referenced in the description.
