Haut à Courroies (HAC) Birkin 40 in Etain Togo with Palladium hardware. The HAC is the original Hermès bag silhouette, predating the Birkin by nearly a century. Originally designed in the 1890s to carry riding saddles and boots, it is taller and more square than the standard Birkin 40, with shorter double rolled handles and a toggle closure instead of a turn-lock. Etain is a medium grey with warm undertones that sits between Gris Mouette (cooler) and Etoupe (warmer, more taupe) on the Hermès grey spectrum.
