The Constance was designed in 1959 by Hermès in-house designer Catherine Chaillet and named for her daughter born the same year. The model became closely associated with Jacqueline Kennedy's style during the 1960s and has remained in continuous production since. The Constance 18 is the smaller of the two current sizes, with a longer adjustable strap that allows comfortable crossbody carry alongside doubled-shoulder positioning.
Alligator Mississippiensis is the American alligator species sourced from Mississippi farms, identified by the square (□) symbol adjacent to the Hermès stamp. Shiny (lisse) finish is achieved through extended agate-stone polishing after dyeing, producing the near-lacquer gloss surface that distinguishes Lisse from the velvety matte alligator reading. Noir on Shiny Alligator reads as deep saturated black with the gloss surface holding light dramatically across the scale grid. Rose Gold hardware departs from the cooler standard Palladium and warmer standard Gold registers, reading as a soft pinkish gold against the deep black ground.

The JaneFinds Beaded Semi-Precious Stone Crossbody Chain is hand-knotted from up to 60 varieties of natural semi-precious stones strung between lobster-clasp hardware at each end. The clasp configuration attaches directly to the sangle hardware of Hermès bags and converts the bag to crossbody or shoulder wear. The chain also functions independently as a long necklace without a bag attached.
Documented stone varieties include amethyst, apatite, carnelian, citrine, emerald, labradorite, lemon quartz, peach moonstone, peridot, Peruvian opal, pink moonstone, prehnite, rose quartz, ruby, sunstone, and tourmaline. Each stone is individually hand-knotted between adjacent stones, securing the strand against bead loss in the event of any single break. Stones are sorted into four documented colorways: Rainbow, Natural, Turquoise, and Malachite. Exact stone composition within each colorway varies by piece due to the natural variation of the source materials.
