Hermès Birkin 40 HAC Lime & Ficelle Evercolor Toile De Camp Palladium Hardware
The HAC's origins date back to 1892, when Émile-Maurice Hermès designed it, inspired by the totes used by Argentine cowboys during his South American journey. The original HAC has since inspired other iconic bags, including the Kelly in 1956 and the Birkin in 1984. The latter was adapted from the HAC with a shorter and smaller body, while featuring slightly longer handles for easy over-the-arm carrying.
Traditionally available in sizes ranging from 40 cm to 55 cm (referring to the bag's width), the HAC has remained faithful to its original large and commanding form. However, this sizeable design can be considered its Achilles' heel, as it is less popular among male clientele. Spotting one on the streets can be as rare as finding a unicorn, but once you do, its majestic presence will surely captivate you, inviting you to marvel at its splendor and bask in its glory.
