Hermès Birkin 25 Fuchsia Lizard Palladium Hardware

Sale price$37,500.00 USD

Hermès Birkin 25 Fuchsia Lizard Palladium Hardware

The Hermès Birkin 25 in Fuchsia Lizard with Palladium Hardware is a vintage exotic from the mid-2000s production era. Fuchsia is a vivid magenta-pink—brighter and more saturated than Rose Shocking, closer to hot pink with purple undertones. Crafted in Varanus Niloticus lizard (Nile monitor lizard), which features small, uniform scales with natural iridescence. Lizard skin is lighter and more delicate than alligator or crocodile.

Palladium hardware provides cool-toned contrast against the pink leather. The 25cm Birkin is the smallest standard size. Lizard skin requires careful handling as it's more susceptible to water damage and shows wear differently than other exotics. Produced in 2006 with Square J stamp and in Excellent condition showing age-appropriate wear for an 18-year-old bag. CITES documentation required for exotic skin.

JaneFinds Collector's Insight:
Lizard Birkins are significantly rarer than alligator or crocodile—lizard production is limited due to skin size constraints and delicacy of the material. Fuchsia in lizard is no longer in production, making this a vintage exotic in a discontinued color. The 2006 Square J stamp places this in the pre-price increase era when exotic Birkin 25s were less common than larger sizes. Excellent condition at 18 years indicates careful storage and minimal use. Lizard requires more careful handling than other exotics, which affects long-term preservation.

JaneFinds Market Insight:
Vintage exotic Birkins (pre-2010) trade at different price points than current exotics—typically lower due to age but valued by collectors seeking specific eras. Lizard Birkins command premiums over leather but generally trade below alligator or crocodile due to the skin's delicacy and maintenance requirements. Fuchsia appeals to collectors seeking bold statement pinks rather than neutral exotics. Excellent condition at this age supports stronger pricing than good or fair condition equivalents. CITES documentation is essential and affects marketability. This targets exotic collectors who understand lizard's specific care requirements rather than first-time buyers.
