The Faubourg design depicts the façade of Hermès' flagship store at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris—complete with layered leather appliqués creating windows, awnings, and architectural details. The bag is three-dimensional rather than flat, with the storefront design built into the structure.
Constructed in Barenia Faubourg leather in Ebene (dark brown), with multiple leather types and colors layered to create the storefront effect. Barenia is a natural vegetable-tanned calfskin that develops patina with handling. The Faubourg Birkin was produced in extremely limited quantities starting around 2016-2017, with various colorways (Snow, Midnight, Day, Ebene).
