The story behind the Bolide
Hermès dates the Bolide to 1923 and ties its rounded, zipped design to motor travel; it was the first Hermès bag closed by a zipper. Made in miniature, handbag and travel sizes.

The Shark edition applies a graphic shark mouth in multicolor leather marquetry to the side panel: white teeth, red gums, black outlining, and an eye detail, all constructed from individually cut and stitched leather pieces applied to the Gold Togo body. Collector's Insight:
The Shark Bolide debuted on the FW2016 Men's runway under Véronique Nichanian. The shark motif is constructed as leather marquetry, with each element individually cut and stitched rather than printed or embroidered. Production was limited to a small number of colorways across one to two seasons. The Gold body version is the neutral variant, alongside darker colorways like Bleu Nuit.
