Chanel vanity box bag in slatted brown wood with black leather trim and silver-tone hardware. A hard-sided rectangular trunk format constructed entirely from polished horizontal wood slats, joined at the edges with black leather binding and silver stud detailing. One face carries the full "CHANEL" lettering in black leather appliqué. The reverse displays the interlocking CC logo in the same treatment. Rigid wood top handle. Top clasp closure with silver-tone latch. The piece reads as a decorative object that happens to function as a bag, closer to a cigar humidor or jewelry case than a conventional handbag.

Circa mid-1990s production under Karl Lagerfeld.
