Hermès Kellymorphose Sac Bijou Chaîne Sterling Silver by Pierre Hardy
The Kellymorphose Sac Bijou Chaîne is the convergence of two Pierre Hardy programs within the Hermès Haute Bijouterie atelier: the Sac Bijou series, which renders bag silhouettes as wearable jewelry objects in precious metal, and the Kellymorphose collection, which deconstructs the Kelly into chain-based jewelry forms. The result is a fully articulated miniature Kelly fabricated entirely in Sterling Silver (Ag 925), with the touret, sanglons, and structural panels reproducing the leather Kelly architecture in metal rather than referencing it. The detachable chain converts the piece between necklace, crossbody, and bag charm configurations, with each linkage point engineered as a functional jewelry component rather than a decorative element.
Pierre Hardy has served as Creative Director of Hermès Jewelry since 2001 and launched Hermès Haute Bijouterie in 2010, with the Sac Bijou bag silhouettes following in 2012 and Kellymorphose in 2019. This hybrid configuration is the most recent evolution of the program, fabricated entirely within the Hermès silversmithing atelier rather than the standard leather goods workflow. 2024 production.

Collector's Insight:
Kellymorphose Sac Bijou production is fabricated by the Hermès jewelry atelier rather than the leather goods workflow, with annual output globally measured in single digits. The piece sits at the intersection of Pierre Hardy's two signature programs and represents the most complete expression of the Kelly silhouette in non-leather form. The functional chain articulation distinguishes the configuration from earlier silver Mini Kelly productions, which carried decorative rather than convertible chain integration.
Resale Insight:
Sterling Silver Hermès productions trade alongside Haute Bijouterie rather than the leather Kelly secondary market, valued on metal weight and jewelry-atelier provenance, and pieces of this kind change hands privately rather than through listed sale. The convertible chain integration carries a premium over fixed-design predecessors, and single-digit annual production keeps secondary supply effectively closed.
