Vert Jade is a vivid, saturated green that sits brighter and slightly cooler than Vert Émeraude, with more blue in it than Cactus or Vert Bengale. On shiny alligator the color gains a lacquer-like intensity: the polished scale surface acts as a reflective plane that amplifies the saturation rather than absorbing it the way matte would. The shiny (Lisse) finish is produced by hand-buffing the skin with a smooth agate stone, drawing out the leather's natural oils. No applied glaze or coating, which means the finish won't chip or peel but will show fine surface scratches and water spotting more readily than matte.
Alligator Mississippiensis is American alligator. Its tiles are smaller and more symmetrical than Niloticus crocodile, with a uniform rectangular arrangement that reads with particular clarity on the Kelly Pochette's flat, uninterrupted front face. Gold hardware runs warm against the cool green, creating a contrast that neither Palladium (too cold) nor Rose Gold (too pink) would produce.
