Kelly 28 Retourne in Rubis Evergrain with Palladium hardware. Rubis is a deep, saturated berry red with cool blue undertones, darker and more complex than Rouge Casaque, less brown than Rouge H. Evergrain is a fine, tight-grained calfskin with a matte finish and a soft hand. It sits between Togo's larger tumbled grain and Epsom's pressed texture, producing an even surface with subtle depth. The Retourne construction gives the bag soft, rounded edges that complement the leather's pliable character. All protective plastics remain on the hardware.

Rubis was introduced around 2012 and retired within a few seasons. Both variables are discontinued from standard production, making this a convergence of two closed specifications. The 28 cm Retourne is the classic Kelly proportion, bridging the compact 25 and the larger 32.
Resale Insight: Rubis in Evergrain is an uncommon pairing on the secondary market. The color reads as a rich jewel tone without the orange warmth of Rouge Casaque or the brown warmth of Rouge H, giving it a distinct position in red Kelly collecting. The JaneFinds Beaded Semi-Precious Stone Crossbody Chain is hand-knotted from up to 60 varieties of natural semi-precious stones strung between lobster-clasp hardware at each end. The clasp configuration attaches directly to the sangle hardware of Hermès bags and converts the bag to crossbody or shoulder wear. The chain also functions independently as a long necklace without a bag attached.
Documented stone varieties include amethyst, apatite, carnelian, citrine, emerald, labradorite, lemon quartz, peach moonstone, peridot, Peruvian opal, pink moonstone, prehnite, rose quartz, ruby, sunstone, and tourmaline. Each stone is individually hand-knotted between adjacent stones, securing the strand against bead loss in the event of any single break. Standard length is 44 inches (112 cm), which produces a crossbody drop appropriate for Hermès bags 25 cm and smaller, including the Mini Kelly 20 II, Kelly Pochette, Constance 18 and 24, and Birkin 25. The chain can be doubled to produce a shorter shoulder drop or wrist-wrap carry, and worn as a standalone necklace at full length. Hardware (Gold or Palladium clasp) is selected at order.
