Kelly 20 Mini Picnic in White Swift leather and natural Osier wicker with Palladium hardware. The Picnic construction replaces the leather body panels with hand-woven willow wicker set into a Swift leather frame; flap, handle, sangles, clochette, and base edges remain leather. The wicker is left in its natural undyed state, creating a warm-to-cool contrast against the White Swift.
Swift is a smooth calfskin with no visible grain; it reads clean and flat, which sharpens the visual boundary where leather meets wicker. The woven strands are integrated into the leather framework rather than attached to it; the basket structure is load-bearing. At 20 cm, this is the smallest scale the Picnic has been produced in; the weave density must increase as the panels shrink, requiring tighter strand spacing than the 35 cm version. Palladium hardware against White Swift and natural wicker keeps the palette cool.

The Picnic Kelly was introduced in 2011 as a limited edition by Jean-Paul Gaultier in his final collection for Hermès; originally produced only as a 35 cm in Fauve Barenia and Osier wicker. The format was scaled down to 20 cm in 2019. Construction requires two distinct craft disciplines: a leather artisan for the Swift components and a basket weaver for the Osier body. Production volume is lower than standard leather Kellys because the wicker integration adds steps that cannot be parallelized. White Swift is a recurring pairing in the Picnic line, alongside Barenia and Gold Swift.

Picnic Kellys trade in a segment distinct from standard leather Kellys; collectors seeking mixed-media construction rather than traditional configurations.
