Étoupe sits at the center of the Hermès neutral range, a grey-taupe that shifts warm or cool with the light and is the color most often named as the most wearable the house produces. On Epsom the pressed grain holds the tone flat and even, and the leather's rigidity keeps the Sellier lines crisp at 20cm, a scale where a softer skin would slacken at the corners.
