The shade closest to black, and the perfect option for a black Birkin that has just a little something extra, a little something mysterious to it, is Plomb. Why does that black Birkin look so good? Because it's not black. Plomb translates to Lead in English, and Hermès has somehow managed to capture that faint luster, that hint of grayish-purple-green that you only notice for a second.
