Vert Anglais is Hermès' deep English-hunter green, a color that reads nearly black in low light and resolves its green undertone only under direct illumination. In some circles the shade is referred to as British Racing Green, usually an automotive designation, but the association is apt: the same deep, tradition-laden green that carried a century of racing marques, translated into leather.
