The Sellier Birkin is one of Hermes’ newest designs. Sharing construction techniques with the Sellier Kelly, Hermes’ beautiful stitching is highlighted along the edges, giving this bag more structure than the classic Birkin, which employs the same construction as the Retourne Kelly. Rouge Sellier is one of Hermes newest and deepest darkest reds (The linguistic excitement of a ‘Sellier’ Birkin in Rouge ‘Sellier’ should not go unnoticed!). Paired with Palladium hardware, this 30cm Sellier Birkin has been kept in pristine condition, and is a rare example of a new style of Birkin that is much loved by collectors everywhere.
Sellier construction uses external stitching without a turned edge, producing rigid, defined lines. The structured silhouette is more formal than the standard Retourne version and shows less relaxation over time. Interior is lined in matching Chevre leather with one zip pocket and one open pocket.
