This Horseshoe Special Order Birkin splits matte alligator into three neutrals: Béton, a pale concrete gray, on the front and back; Gris Paris, a deeper cool gray, on the flap and top frame; and Bois de Rose, a muted dusty pink, on the gussets, handles and sangles.
The matte finish turns the color changes into soft tonal shifts rather than the sharp boundaries a shiny glaze would draw, and brushed palladium hardware keeps a low sheen in keeping with the surface.
