Birkin 25 Quadrille in Bleu de Malte and Noir Toile Canvas with Noir Swift leather trim and Palladium hardware. Quadrille is a woven canvas where colored threads are interlaced in a fine checked grid pattern. On this edition the weave alternates Bleu de Malte and Noir threads, producing a dark, tonal textile that reads as deep navy from a distance and reveals its checkered structure up close. Noir Swift frames the canvas at the corners, handles, flap, sangles, and base. Swift's smooth, matte surface complements the dry hand of the toile better than grained leathers would.
Canvas construction reduces the empty weight significantly compared to an all-leather Birkin 25. The trade-off is that toile cannot be cleaned or restored through Hermès spa the way leather can. Bleu de Malte is a saturated, near-black navy that sits close to Noir in low light and separates into a distinct blue in direct light, making this one of the more subdued Quadrille colorways produced.
