This Aviator edition wraps the signature knotted handle in shearling, adding a textural contrast against the smooth calfskin body. The shearling also lines the interior, visible when the top zip is open.
Honey is a warm, saturated camel-orange. The calfskin is soft and lightly grained, not the Intrecciato weave BV is known for. This is a smooth-body Jodie, which means the leather's surface and color carry the design rather than a woven pattern. Black leather trim at the base corners and handle attachments provides edge definition. Gold-tone top zip closure. The crescent shape collapses flat when empty and rounds out when filled, which is the intended behavior of the soft construction.

Collector's Insight: The Jodie became Bottega Veneta's signature bag under Daniel Lee's creative direction. The Mini size and the Aviator shearling variant were seasonal releases, not permanent additions to the lineup. Shearling Jodies appeared in a limited number of colorways and have not been restocked consistently since their initial run. The smooth calfskin body (rather than Intrecciato) makes this a departure from the woven aesthetic most associated with BV, which gives it a distinct identity within the Jodie range.
Resale Insight: BV Jodies in seasonal materials trade above standard Intrecciato versions on the secondary market because production was limited and the visual differentiation is immediate. The shearling handle and lining add a tactile element that photographs don't fully capture. Honey is a neutral warm tone that has broader styling range than the brighter seasonal colors BV offered in the same format.

Each stone is individually hand-knotted between adjacent stones, securing the strand against bead loss in the event of any single break.
