Hermès Teddy Mini Kelly 20 Chamois Grizzly, Alezan Swift and Ecru Mouton Shearling Palladium Hardware
Hermès Teddy Mini Kelly 20 Chamois Grizzly, Alezan Swift and Ecru Mouton Shearling Palladium Hardware
The Hermès Teddy Mini Kelly 20 in Chamois Grizzly, Alezan Swift and Ecru Mouton Shearling with Palladium Hardware is a limited edition release featuring shearling exterior panels. The Teddy Kelly was introduced as a special edition combining traditional Kelly structure with plush Mouton (shearling) inserts, creating a textured surface rather than smooth leather.
This example combines Chamois (beige-tan) Grizzly suede, Alezan (chestnut brown) Swift leather, and Ecru (off-white) Mouton shearling in a multi-material construction. Grizzly suede is the reversed interior of leather used for the body, Swift leather frames the structure, and Mouton shearling panels create the fuzzy exterior texture. Palladium hardware provides contrast. The Kelly 20 format with shearling maintains the Sellier structure beneath the soft exterior. Produced in 2023 with B stamp and in Pristine condition with full set.

Collector's Insight:
The Teddy Kelly is a seasonal limited edition that appears sporadically rather than as regular production. Shearling requires specific care and shows wear differently than smooth leather; it's more delicate and sensitive to water and staining. This tri-color combination (Chamois/Alezan/Ecru) is one of several colorways produced. The Teddy Kelly appeals to collectors who prioritize novelty and seasonal pieces over classic configurations. Production numbers are limited, making pristine examples relatively scarce.
Resale Insight:
Teddy Kellys trade at premiums over standard Kelly 20s due to limited production and special materials. The shearling makes this a statement piece rather than a subtle daily bag. Market demand is seasonal, stronger in fall/winter, softer in spring/summer. Pristine condition is critical because shearling shows wear visibly. This targets collectors seeking special editions rather than first-time Hermès buyers.
