The story behind the Kelly Élan
The original Kelly clutch of the house's modern history: an early-2000s format with a flat base and a rear sangle hand strap, preceding the Kelly Pochette, Kelly Longue and Kelly Cut. Hermès brought it back on its Spring 2023 runway, with a removable shoulder strap.

The feathers move with the carrier, creating a surface that shifts in texture and light with each motion. Vert Comics is a saturated, electric yellow-green that reads as vivid in any light, and on the Folie the feathers carry the color in a way leather cannot, with each plume catching light independently.
Chèvre Chamkila, a goatskin with a tight grain, provides the structural base and holds the Élan's flat profile. The feathers are applied to the front panel only; the rear and gussets remain clean leather. Palladium hardware keeps a cool metallic contrast against the green, and the shoulder strap is detachable.

The Folie adds hand-applied ostrich feathers to the Kelly Élan, so the surface moves as the bag does.
