Hermès Birkin 35 Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile, 18K White Gold & Diamond Hardware
The Diamond Himalaya is the configuration that has repeatedly reset the world auction record for any handbag, and the 35 gives it the grandest canvas: one of the two original 1984 Birkin proportions, with the smoke to pearl gradient reading across the full front panel. Matte Niloticus carries the transition, and the natural symmetry of the scales does the rest.
The hardware is the jewelry commission at full expression: plaques, touret, and cadena cast in solid 18K white gold and hand-set with brilliant-cut diamonds of VVS clarity. A Q square stamp places production in 2013, inside the window that preceded the configuration's record run at auction.
