Hermès 24/24 21 Blue Lin Evercolor and Swift Leather Palladium Hardware
The Hermès 24/24 Bag was officially released in store around December 2018 or a bit earlier. The design is distinctive because it feels like somewhere between the Birkin and Kelly due to the structure. Hermès has introduced a new 21 size, shrinking down the bag’s proportions to just 21 cm wide and 16 cm high. It will come in a combination of Evercolor (base) and Swift (the rigid flap) calfskin and will be available in Gold, with gold hardware. Hermès has designed the bag to be a casual style meant to be carried from day to night (hence the name), and the 24/24 – 21 can be worn in several different ways (belt bag, backpack and sling bag, the choice is yours), thanks to a reworked strap just for this new size. Turn it around and you will find two ring loops at the back, allowing you to convert the long shoulder strap as you please. This makes it rather similar to the versatile Kelly Danse, except the 24/24 – 21 is much roomier in comparison, along with a top handle that gives it an extra point in terms of versatility. With a zipped pocket inside and another compartment on the outside, the 24/24 – 21 makes for a full-fledged bag that’s great for the everyday, which can only be a good thing since ‘smaller than small’ is still very much in. Complementary to Evergrain calfskin, this leather has a similar suppleness and comes in a wide palette of "forever" colors! First appeared in the collections in 2012.

The term "hardware" refers to the metallic parts of the bag, such as the buckle hardware, base studs, lock and keys and/or strap, which are plated with a colored finish (e.g. gold, silver, palladium). The terms refer to the tone or color of the hardware and not the actual material used. If hardware is composed of precious solid metals this will be referenced in the description.
