Mini Picnic Kelly in Rouge de Coeur Swift leather and natural Osier (willow) wicker with palladium hardware. The construction combines two distinct craft traditions: the leather flap, rolled top handle, sangles, clochette, and removable shoulder strap are made by a master saddler; the wicker body is hand-woven by a basket artisan. A vertical band of Rouge de Coeur Swift runs down the center front of the wicker body, connecting the flap visually to the base.

Rouge de Coeur ; "Red Heart" ; is a bright, clean red introduced for Spring/Summer 2019. On Swift leather it reads as a saturated, slightly cool-toned red with faint blue undertones, distinct from the warmer orange-leaning Vermillion or the browner Rouge H. Swift's smooth, fine-grained surface gives the color a flat, even saturation across the flap and handle. The natural Osier wicker is left unfinished ; pale straw-colored, with visible variation in the weave density. Palladium hardware throughout: the toggle, plate, handle attachments, and strap fittings.

Interior is lined in Rouge de Coeur Swift with one front wall pocket. The bag opens via the standard Kelly sangles-and-toggle mechanism. The removable shoulder strap converts the bag from a top-handle to a crossbody.

The Kelly Picnic format was first introduced in 2011 as a Kelly 35 in Fauve Barenia, designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier for his final Hermès collection. The Mini Picnic Kelly 20 followed later, applying the wicker-and-leather construction to the smallest Kelly size. Each bag requires approximately 10 hours to produce because it draws on two separate ateliers ; the saddler for all leather components and a specialist basket weaver for the Osier body. The wicker is hand-woven around a rigid internal frame, which gives the bag its structure; this is not a collapsible or flexible bag. The "20" designation corresponds to the standard Mini Kelly II family, though the wicker body measures approximately 22 cm at its widest. Picnic Kellys are produced only with palladium hardware. Rouge de Coeur was introduced SS2019 and has been produced intermittently across multiple leather types ; it reads as a primary red without brown, orange, or pink undertones.
