Kelly Danse in 5P Bubblegum Pink Ostrich with Palladium hardware. The original Kelly Danse designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier, a flat envelope silhouette with the Kelly's tournante closure and an adjustable strap that allows the piece to be worn crossbody, at the waist, on the shoulder, or as a backpack. Remove the strap and it functions as an evening clutch. Bubblegum (5P) is a saturated, candy-toned pink with no mauve or coral pull. On ostrich the quill follicle pattern creates a natural polka-dot texture across the surface, adding dimension that flat leathers cannot replicate. The follicles read as slightly darker tonal dots against the pink ground.
Ostrich on the Kelly Danse format is uncommon. Most Kelly Danse production was executed in Swift or Evercolor. Exotic allocations for this silhouette were extremely limited, making any ostrich Kelly Danse a narrow production subset. Palladium hardware cools the saturated pink.

Original Kelly Danse examples in exotic skins represent a fraction of total production. Bubblegum (5P) is among the most sought-after Hermès pinks, and on ostrich it gains a textural dimension that the more commonly seen matte alligator or smooth leather versions do not share. Ostrich was absent from Hermès production in 2025, making existing ostrich pieces a closed supply with no new units entering circulation during that gap.
Resale Insight: Pink exotic Kelly Danse bags occupy a very specific collector niche. The combination of a discontinued silhouette (original Danse, not the II reissue), an exotic skin with constrained supply, and the most desirable pink in the Hermès palette creates a convergence that rarely surfaces. Excellent condition with full set on a 2020 ostrich piece indicates careful ownership.
