Portefeuille Passant Long in Bleu Indigo Evergrain with Ombre Lizard flap panel. The Passant is Hermès's loop-closure long wallet: the flap tucks into a leather loop on the body to close, no metal hardware involved. The front panel is Ombre Lizard, natural gradient coloring that runs from dark at center to lighter at the edges, each scale individually visible in the tight mosaic pattern characteristic of the species. The body, interior, and removable zippered coin pouch are Bleu Indigo Evergrain, a deep navy-black with a fine, satiny grain. Six card slots inside, flat pockets, and the detachable coin purse.

The Passant format doubles as a clutch or, with an aftermarket chain, a crossbody. Photo 2 shows it styled with a JaneFinds PVD chain (sold separately). At 20 x 9 x 3 cm the proportions are slim enough to sit flat in a larger bag during the day and carry independently for evening.

Collector's Insight: The Passant Long with an exotic flap panel is a less common configuration than the all-calfskin version. Lizard flap wallets receive limited production allocation, and the Ombre coloring on the lizard is natural to the skin rather than dyed, meaning each piece has a unique gradient pattern. Bleu Indigo was a short-run color in the Evergrain palette. The combination of a discontinued body color with an exotic flap makes this a harder find than standard SLG offerings.

Resale Insight: Hermès exotic SLGs occupy a niche collector lane. They carry the material prestige of exotic bags at a fraction of the entry point, and the Passant's versatility as wallet, clutch, or chain-carried crossbody broadens its appeal beyond pure SLG collectors. The lizard panel is the value driver here; all-calfskin Passant wallets trade at a significantly lower level.
