Hermès Teddy Kelly Clutch Barenia Leather & Mouton Shearling Palladium Hardware - 2007, K Square
During Jean-Paul Gaultier's time at Hermès, he revolutionized the house's classic styles in many new and exciting ways. On the fall 2007 runway, Hermès aficionados got their first glimpse of the Mouton Shearling "Teddy" Kellys, which came down the catwalk in multiple sizes, colors and coordinating materials. The muffs that many models had their hands held cozily within became an instant collectors piece, although not a terribly useful one to be sure. This rare example has been expertly closed on the sides making the somewhat useless muff into a stunning and completely useable clutch! The exterior is done in Hermès' most classic Barenia leather which, along with the white stitching, pairs perfectly with the cream shearling interior that peeks out of the seams. This piece is now singular, unique, the only Teddy Kelly Clutch in existence.
