It occupies a narrow tonal range between Hermès' more established pale neutrals (Craie, Nata) and its deeper neutrals (Etoupe, Gris Tourterelle). The Kelly 28 is currently the most requested Kelly size, having overtaken the 25 and 32 in demand. X stamp places this at 2016 production. Hardware stickers still present at nine years suggest very limited use.
