Geta (pronounced "Gueta") , it is inspired by Japanese wooden platform sandals. This compact, symmetrical messenger bag doesn’t have the typical feet of other Hermès bags. Rather, the base is an elongated “H” reminiscent of the classic Hermès Constance closure. The bag itself is built like a small box, closing with a click, and featuring a canvas adjustable strap. For now, it’s been shown in Mysore Goatskin. The bag is one of the centerpieces of the Maison's latest collection, which is inspired by the resilience and strength of women as a point of attachment in an era of reconstruction.
Interior is lined in matching leather. Hermès craftsmanship is evident in the hand-stitched saddle stitch, a technique that uses two needles working in opposite directions through pre-punched holes. Each piece is completed by a single artisan.
