Hermès Birkin 35 Matte Beton Porosus Crocodile Palladium Hardware

Birkin 35 in matte Béton Crocodile Porosus with palladium hardware. Béton is Hermès' concrete gray-white, warmer than Blanc but cooler than Craie, sitting in a narrow band of near-white neutrals that reads as stone rather than cream. On matte Porosus, the color settles into the natural variation of the scales, with slightly deeper tone collecting in the channels between tiles, giving the surface a dimensional quality that a smooth leather in this color would not produce.

Porosus crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) has the finest, most regular scale pattern of the crocodile species Hermès uses, with smaller, more symmetrical tiles than Niloticus. The matte finish is achieved through a different tanning process than shiny, producing a soft, chalky surface without gloss. Palladium hardware maintains the cool, tonal palette. Pristine condition with full set including box, dust bag, clochette, lock and keys, rain jacket, felt, and care booklet.

JaneFinds Collector's Insight: Porosus Crocodile production is constrained by raw material scarcity and limited annual output. Allocation within Hermès exotic bag production is among the most selective in the house.

JaneFinds Market Insight: The Birkin 35 remains a highly liquid asset in the luxury resale market. In a durable leather like Porosus Crocodile, it is considered a 'workhorse' investment piece that holds value exceptionally well through daily use.
