Hermès Birkin 20 Sellier Faubourg Blue Madame & Crocodile Palladium Hardware
The Faubourg renders 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the Hermès flagship, as a Birkin 20 Sellier built in leather marquetry. This is the Blue edition: the façade worked in Blue Madame with Sombrero on the trim and window frames, Epsom for the glass panes, and Orange H Swift for the awnings, with the flap and handles cut from matte crocodile.
The clochette is cut as a miniature Hermès shopping bag, rope handles and Ex Libris mark included. Sellier construction is what makes the format work: rigid panels and external stitching hold every architectural line square, where a Retourne build would let the borders soften and the facade lose its register.

Collector's Insight: The Faubourg reproduces the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré storefront in marquetry across the front panel, which means the bag is assembled from many separately cut pieces rather than a few large ones. Every element has to align, and one misplaced section ruins the panel, so the build time per bag sits far above a standard exotic.
Resale Insight: The Faubourg is priced against itself rather than against the standard line, since no current-season equivalent exists to compare it to. Appearances are infrequent enough that each one largely sets its own reference, and the buyer is a collector completing a Faubourg group rather than someone acquiring a first Hermès.
