The story behind the Chanel 25
Introduced on Chanel's Spring/Summer 2025 runway and named for the year of its launch, after the Chanel 19 and Chanel 22. A slouchy quilted bag with Chanel's leather-threaded chain, the CC and two large exterior side pockets. Made in small, medium and large, with a mini added later.
Discover ChanelThe 25 is a hobo-format shoulder bag with diamond quilting, a drawstring chain closure with CC turn-lock, chain-and-leather shoulder strap, and two exterior side pockets. Interior is fabric-lined with patch pockets and includes a removable pouch. Launched in Chanel's Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the 25 sits between the unstructured Chanel 22 and the structured Classic Flap in the house's lineup.
Collector's Insight:
The Chanel 25 launched as the house's flagship new silhouette for 2025. Suede executions are produced in smaller quantities than standard grained calfskin or denim versions, and dark brown is an understated alternative to the more widely distributed black and white colorways.
Resale Insight:
This is first-year production of a new Chanel silhouette in a limited material. Suede is not continuously restocked at boutique level, which makes examples in non-core colors difficult to source.
