This canvas Picotin is inspired by recent ‘Chinese Fish’ paintings by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. His works were in turn inspired by fish painted on an ancient Chinese porcelain vase. The painting on this bag brings this circle of inspiration together; the mottled finish on the bag evokes the ancient nature of the source inspiration, and the modern lines, applied on an Hermès bag, modern symbol of luxury, drag it into the present day. The bag is as much a commercially desirable work of practical art as the vase. The Picotin, with white Evergrain leather handles and Palladium hardware, lent itself perfectly to this project, the raw toile canvas interior a reminder of the humble origins of the Picotin; feed bag.

Please allow 7-10 business for order fulfillment as these are made to order by hand. Each chain is unique and is within the color range that is selected.
