The body of the miniature Kelly is constructed using a chain mail (cotte de mailles) technique, woven from 18K White Gold wire to create a fluid mesh texture that drapes and moves like fabric. The structural elements of the Kelly (flap, top handle, and sangles) are solid 18K White Gold set with 126 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.17 carats. Working turn-lock closure opens to a miniature interior. Suspended from an adjustable long chain, wearable as a sautoir, choker, or detached as a bag charm.

The chain also functions independently as a long necklace without a bag attached.
Documented stone varieties include amethyst, apatite, carnelian, citrine, emerald, labradorite, lemon quartz, peach moonstone, peridot, Peruvian opal, pink moonstone, prehnite, rose quartz, ruby, sunstone, and tourmaline. Each stone is individually hand-knotted between adjacent stones, securing the strand against bead loss in the event of any single break.
